Charleston, WV – Unseasonably warm temperatures will continue through Wednesday before a cold front moves in, bringing showers and cooler conditions by late Thursday.
According to the NWS Charleston, highs will reach the mid-to-upper 60s on Wednesday across the lowlands, with some mountain areas also seeing mild conditions. Dry weather will persist most of the day before rain chances increase overnight into Thursday.
Thursday’s highs will remain in the upper 50s and low 60s before a strong cold front arrives. The front will bring better chances of rain, with the possibility of snow in the higher elevations by late Thursday night.
By Friday morning, temperatures will drop significantly, with some areas in the mountains seeing snow accumulation. Highs will stay in the 40s, with breezy conditions making it feel even colder.
Residents should enjoy the mild weather early in the week but prepare for colder air and possible slick conditions in the higher elevations by the weekend.
