Charleston, WV – Charleston will experience a significant dip in temperatures this week, with nighttime lows falling into the 30s by Tuesday night. The week begins with sunny skies and pleasant conditions, but after a high of 71°F on Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will plunge to a brisk 43°F overnight. Calm winds from the north will accompany the chilly evening air, creating cold conditions across the Kanawha Valley.

By Wednesday, daytime highs will reach 72°F, but another drop into the 30s is expected Wednesday night, when lows could dip as far as 39°F. Residents are encouraged to prepare for these cold temperatures by bringing in sensitive plants and checking on pets. The chilly nights will continue through Thursday before temperatures rebound into the low 70s for the weekend.
