West Virginia Braces for 4 Inches of Snow on New Year’s Day

Quinwood, WV – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Western Greenbrier County, forecasting snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches from early New Year’s Day through Thursday morning.

Snowfall is expected to begin around 1 a.m. Wednesday and continue until 4 a.m. Thursday, creating slippery road conditions that could disrupt morning and evening commutes.

According to the advisory, the snowfall could lead to hazardous travel conditions across the region. Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise caution. Current road conditions can be accessed by dialing 511.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for possible delays and to stay informed about updates as this winter weather system develops.
