Spokane, WA – Washington residents should prepare for mixed weather conditions this weekend, including rain, snow, and fog that could impact travel on major roadways like Interstate 90. Saturday brings steady rain, while snow levels are expected to drop as the week progresses, creating slick roads and potential delays.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will continue through Saturday morning with highs around 43°F. Snow is anticipated late Saturday night into Sunday, with levels falling as low as 2,200 feet. This could bring a mix of rain and snow to Spokane and surrounding areas. Drivers are advised to use caution, especially in higher elevations along I-90.

Sunday’s forecast includes a 30% chance of rain and snow, with daytime highs near 46°F. As temperatures drop into the low 30s overnight, icy conditions are likely. Thanksgiving travelers should plan ahead for Monday and Tuesday, which bring another round of rain and snow showers, especially in the afternoon.

Beyond Tuesday, temperatures will hover in the low 40s during the day and dip below freezing overnight. Snow levels may reach valley floors by Thanksgiving Day. Although no major accumulations are forecast, slippery surfaces could disrupt holiday plans.

Travelers should monitor updates from the National Weather Service and consider chains or snow tires for trips through mountainous regions. Rain gear and extra time for local travel are also recommended.

Be sure to stay updated with the latest forecasts to ensure a safe and smooth Thanksgiving week.
