Spokane, Washington – A breezy and unsettled start to the week will give way to summerlike warmth across eastern Washington, with Spokane likely hitting near 80 degrees by Friday. Scattered thunderstorms could bring brief downpours on Tuesday before sunny skies dominate later in the week.
According to the National Weather Service Spokane office, Monday will feature morning sun followed by increasing clouds and gusty winds, with highs in the low 70s. Thunderstorms are expected to develop Tuesday, bringing a chance of scattered showers and isolated lightning from late morning into the evening hours. High temperatures will remain in the 60s to low 70s.
Conditions improve dramatically by midweek. Wednesday will bring mostly sunny skies with highs reaching the upper 70s in Spokane, Pullman, and Coeur d’Alene. Thursday and Friday are forecast to be even warmer, with many cities in eastern Washington and the Idaho Panhandle seeing highs from the mid-70s to low 80s.
Travelers should use caution during Tuesday’s storms, as brief heavy rain could lead to slick roads. Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items early in the week and prepare for a significant warm-up.
The NWS advises that dry and sunny weather will persist into the weekend, with additional updates expected if any new advisories are issued.
