Stevens Pass, WA – A winter storm advisory is in effect for Western Chelan County, bringing significant snowfall and high winds. The National Weather Service warns of travel disruptions and hazardous conditions beginning early Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will take effect Friday at 6 a.m. and remain active until Saturday at 6 a.m. Snowfall between 6 and 11 inches is expected to blanket the region, with winds gusting up to 35 mph. The heaviest snow is anticipated along Highway 2 over Stevens Pass, a critical route for travelers.

Residents and visitors should prepare for challenging conditions. The high winds and snowfall could lead to low visibility and slippery roads. The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) advises checking travel conditions before leaving.

Holden Village, Stehekin, and surrounding areas are also expected to experience heavy snowfall. Local officials are recommending stocking up on supplies and avoiding unnecessary travel during the storm.
