Seattle, WA – Dense fog is expected to linger across the Seattle area through Thursday morning, significantly reducing visibility and creating hazardous driving conditions, particularly on I-5 and Highway 99.

The National Weather Service advises that visibility may drop to a quarter-mile or less in some areas, especially during the early morning hours. Drivers are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles. The fog is forecast to begin clearing by mid-morning Thursday, making way for mostly cloudy skies and highs near 43°F.

The extended forecast indicates calmer conditions as the week progresses. Thursday night will bring mostly cloudy skies and light winds, with lows dipping to 34°F. On Friday, residents can expect partly sunny skies, with a high of 43°F and a dry, light breeze.

As the weekend approaches, the weather looks favorable for outdoor activities. Saturday and Sunday will feature partly sunny skies, with daytime highs in the low 40s and overnight lows dropping to 30°F. Looking ahead to Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day will bring mostly sunny conditions and highs near 41°F.

Plan your travels carefully during the morning fog and enjoy clearer, sunnier skies as the weekend unfolds.
