Wenatchee, Wash. – Triple-digit heat continues to bake Central Washington as an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 9 p.m. Tuesday, with Wenatchee and Moses Lake expected to see highs between 95°F and 105°F.

According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, overnight lows will offer little reprieve, hovering in the mid-60s to low 70s. Cities including Ephrata, Othello, Chelan, and Quincy remain at high risk for heat-related illnesses due to prolonged exposure and minimal overnight cooling.

Outdoor workers and vulnerable populations—especially older adults and children—are urged to take precautions. Stay indoors with air conditioning when possible, drink plenty of fluids, and avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day. OSHA recommends regular breaks in shaded or cool environments for those working outside.

Car interiors can become deadly within minutes; never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.

With heat peaking again Tuesday afternoon, residents should monitor elderly neighbors and check local cooling centers. More updates are expected if the warning extends into midweek.
