Spokane, WA – Spokane residents are in for a wet and chilly Halloween, as the National Weather Service predicts a 75% chance of rain this evening, with additional concerns of freezing fog in the early hours. Trick-or-treaters are advised to prepare for slick streets and bring umbrellas or rain gear to stay dry during Halloween activities.

According to the National Weather Service Spokane office, rain is likely to start by late afternoon and continue into the night, impacting trick-or-treat hours. This Halloween forecast shows a high likelihood of rain across the Inland Northwest, with a notable 70-85% chance of precipitation in cities like Spokane, Pullman, and Colville. Temperatures are expected to hover around the mid-40s in Spokane, but the damp and foggy conditions may make it feel colder.

Tonight’s forecast calls for patchy freezing fog before 3 a.m., leading to potentially reduced visibility and slippery roads early in the evening and overnight. On Wednesday night, expect rain to move in, with snow levels around 4,300 feet, indicating a cold air mass across the region. Thursday will also see continued chances of rain, with the temperature forecast in the high 40s and occasional fog.

For the rest of the week, rain and fog remain likely into Friday, with highs reaching 48 degrees and lows around 35. Saturday’s forecast shows a 50% chance of rain with temperatures in the upper 40s. Those planning weekend travel or outdoor activities should stay updated on changing weather conditions.

Be cautious when driving, especially along Spokane’s main roads, as rain, fog, and cold temperatures may lead to slick conditions. Residents should continue checking weather updates to stay informed.
