

Sprague, WA – Two Washington duck hunters were found dead late Saturday night after an extensive search near Sprague Lake.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Rock Dwayne Bass, 60, and Gary Thomas Myers, 69, were located at approximately 11:45 p.m. Both men were reported missing earlier in the day after failing to return from a hunting trip.
According to authorities, search crews from Adams County, Spokane Search and Rescue, and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office worked tirelessly using ground, air, and water resources. Despite their efforts, the men were tragically found deceased. Next of kin have been notified.
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Mr. Bass and Mr. Myers during this incredibly difficult time,” Sheriff Wagner said in a statement. “We extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected by this loss.”
The investigation into the circumstances of the deaths will continue under the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. Officials asked for the community’s continued prayers and support for the grieving families.
