Seattle, WA – Dense fog blanketed much of the Seattle area this morning, reducing visibility on major roadways, including SR-167 and I-5. Drivers are urged to slow down, use low beams, and allow extra time for commutes. The National Weather Service cautions that fog is likely to persist through mid-morning.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), visibility has dropped to as low as 0.25 miles in some areas. Temperatures hover around 34°F, creating the potential for icy patches on bridges and overpasses. Motorists should remain vigilant as conditions improve slowly through the day.

Looking ahead, Monday brings mostly cloudy skies with a high near 45°F, followed by decreasing clouds in the evening and lows around 35°F. Tuesday is expected to be partly sunny with similar temperatures, providing a brief reprieve before rain returns midweek.

Rain is forecast to begin late Wednesday and continue into Thursday, with highs near 48°F both days. By Friday, rain is likely to intensify, with temperatures reaching 53°F, signaling a wet start to the weekend.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for changing conditions, especially if traveling. Ensure your vehicle’s lights are functioning properly and stay updated on weather changes by checking local forecasts.
