Annandale, VA – A midweek snow chance will impact Northern Virginia on Wednesday before a warming trend arrives this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow is possible Wednesday morning, with a 40% chance of accumulation. Snow showers could continue into Thursday morning, with a higher 50% chance of precipitation. However, temperatures will rise into the upper 30s by Friday and mid-40s by Saturday, signaling a warming trend.

Tuesday will bring sunny skies and a high of 34°F, but overnight temperatures will drop to 18°F. A north wind will keep wind chills low. By Thursday, the region could see lingering snow showers before clearing by evening.

The weekend looks drier and warmer, with highs near 44°F on Saturday and close to 49°F by Sunday. Drivers should remain cautious of slick roads Wednesday and Thursday morning.
