Annandale, VA – Snow is set to return to Northern Virginia on Tuesday morning, followed by a mix of rain and slippery conditions through midweek. Residents should prepare for hazardous travel, especially during the morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin before 8 a.m. Tuesday, accumulating before transitioning into a wintry mix. Temperatures will hover near 35°F, increasing the likelihood of icy roads. Precipitation chances are at 90%, making travel on I-95 and local roads difficult. By Tuesday night, snow will continue, with lows dropping to 31°F.

Wednesday brings another round of snowfall, with a 70% chance of accumulation and a high of 36°F. Rain is expected Wednesday night into Thursday, with a 100% chance of precipitation and highs near 53°F. Drivers should exercise caution, as melting snow could lead to localized flooding.

By Thursday afternoon, conditions will improve, with partly cloudy skies and a low of 29°F. Sunshine returns Friday, with a high near 40°F.
