Wakefield, VA – Virginia’s weather is sunny and seasonal today, with temperatures ranging from the upper 50s in the northeast to the mid-60s in the southwest. After a cold start to the day, dry conditions prevail across the state, with minimum relative humidity (RH) levels reaching 20-25%.

According to the National Weather Service, the most pressing concern today is the increased fire risk along the Lower Maryland Eastern Shore. Low humidity combined with westward winds at speeds of 10-15 mph, gusting to 20 mph, significantly elevates the potential for fire spread. Residents and officials are urged to exercise caution in these areas.

Looking ahead, a warm-up is in store for Virginia. Temperatures will climb into the 80s by the weekend, starting Saturday, March 29, 2025.
