Burlington, VT – Spring is finally settling in across Vermont today, as temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-50s to low 60s, with the exception of the Northeast Kingdom, where lingering clouds will keep things cooler. The National Weather Service in Burlington reports that dry conditions will persist through the evening and overnight, offering a welcome break from recent cool spells.

Highs today are predicted to reach 56°F in places like Middlebury, 58°F in Burlington, and 64°F in Rome. However, the Northeast Kingdom will see cooler temperatures, hovering around 50°F, as cloud cover keeps conditions more subdued.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will dip overnight, with lows ranging from the mid-30s to low 40s across most of the state. The cool air will be especially noticeable in areas like Newcomb and Saranac Lake, where lows may fall to around 32°F. Residents should be prepared for chilly mornings, especially in higher elevations.

For those planning to enjoy the outdoor spring weather, today and tonight will offer a perfect opportunity, but be prepared for cooler temperatures as the sun sets.
