Burlington, Vt. – Vermonters can expect a picture-perfect day Wednesday, with sunshine, warm air, and low humidity stretching from the Champlain Valley to the Green Mountains.
According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and low 80s across the region, peaking near 84°F in Burlington and 81°F in Springfield. Dew points, however, will stay in the 40s and low 50s, making for dry and comfortable conditions throughout the day.
Communities including Montpelier, Middlebury, and Rutland will see highs around 79°F to 81°F under mostly clear skies. Light breezes and the lack of moisture will keep heat indexes manageable, with no storms in sight. Outdoor activities and travel across I-89, Route 7, and Route 302 should be smooth, with excellent visibility and minimal wind.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and use sunscreen during peak afternoon hours. It’s also a good day to catch up on yard work or take a walk, as conditions remain safe and pleasant statewide.
Warm, dry weather is expected to continue into the evening, with no advisories currently in effect. Another sunny day is possible Thursday before rain chances return late week.
