Montpelier, VT – The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Orange, Washington, and Lamoille counties, effective from midnight tonight until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 34 degrees, potentially leading to frost formation.

This advisory could impact sensitive outdoor vegetation, and gardeners are urged to take precautions by covering tender plants or bringing them indoors. Frost conditions can severely damage or kill unprotected plants, particularly in higher elevations like Stowe and Waitsfield.

According to the National Weather Service, the frost is expected to last through the early morning hours before temperatures begin to rise again. Residents in affected areas, including Montpelier, Johnson, and Randolph, are advised to monitor weather conditions and take necessary precautions to protect their gardens and outdoor plants.
