According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will plunge to -5°F Saturday night, with wind chills making it feel as cold as -16°F. A chance of snow will linger overnight into early Sunday, though little accumulation is expected. By Sunday afternoon, temperatures will recover slightly to a high of 26°F under mostly cloudy skies, but wind gusts could reach 23 mph, making it feel much colder.
Sunday night will bring the most significant weather shift, with an 80% chance of snow showers moving in after midnight. South winds will pick up to 30 mph, making for difficult travel conditions on roads like I-89 and Route 7. Snow accumulation is expected to be around an inch.
Monday will see a brief thaw, with a high of 41°F, but rain and snow showers could linger in the morning before skies turn mostly cloudy. By Monday night, another cold front will sweep through, dropping temperatures back to 20°F with a chance of additional snow showers.
The cold remains locked in place Tuesday, with partly sunny skies but highs only reaching 26°F. Overnight temperatures will fall to 9°F, ensuring icy conditions persist into midweek.
