Twin Cities, MN – Snow will impact Valentine’s Day travel across eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Friday evening. Accumulations of 2 inches or more are possible, especially along and east of I-35.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, snowfall will begin Friday afternoon and spread east through the evening. Confidence is high that roads will become snowy and slow travel is likely in affected areas. Western Minnesota will see little to no accumulation.

The highest snowfall probabilities are in western Wisconsin, where confidence reaches 89% near La Crosse. In the Twin Cities, there is around a 55% chance of 2 inches or more.

Travelers should expect delays, particularly on I-35 and nearby roads. Drivers are advised to use caution and allow extra time.

Snow will taper off overnight, but untreated roads may remain slick into Saturday morning. Stay updated with the latest forecasts and road conditions before heading out.
