Salt Lake City, UT – A winter mix of snow and rain is set to hit Utah on Thursday before a significant warming trend arrives this weekend. Residents should prepare for slick roads during the morning commute as precipitation moves through the region.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will start early Thursday morning, possibly mixing with rain before 11 a.m. Highs will reach 41°F, with calm winds shifting northwest in the afternoon. Precipitation chances are at 80%, though little to no accumulation is expected.

Friday marks the beginning of a warming trend, with partly sunny skies and a high of 41°F. By Saturday, temperatures will climb to 46°F, with mostly sunny conditions continuing into Sunday. Lows over the weekend will remain above freezing, hovering around the low 30s.

By Monday, highs could reach 56°F, signaling an early taste of spring. Motorists should remain cautious Thursday morning due to potential icy conditions but can look forward to drier, warmer weather into next week.
