Salt Lake City, Utah – Triple-digit temperatures are returning to Utah this week, with cities like Salt Lake City and St. George expected to bake under intense heat through Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, high pressure will push temperatures up to 10°F above seasonal norms. St. George could climb to a scorching 106°F Tuesday, while Salt Lake City is forecast to reach 100°F. Cities like Bullfrog and Cedar City will also see highs well over 100°F.

Dry conditions will dominate across Utah and southwest Wyoming, raising concerns for heat-related illness and wildfire risk. Residents in Park City, Logan, Price, and Richfield should stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during peak afternoon hours, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

The heat spike is expected to ease beginning Wednesday evening as a passing trough brings a return to near-normal temperatures by Thursday. However, another round of warming is expected for the weekend, with no significant rain in sight.

  • Monday: Hot and dry, high 96°F
  • Tuesday: High 100°F, heat advisory likely
  • Wednesday: Slightly cooler, high 94°F
