Salt Lake City, UT – A mix of rain, snow, and thunderstorms is expected to sweep across Salt Lake City through Friday night, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions ahead of a clearer weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and a possible thunderstorm will linger overnight into Thursday, with temperatures steady around 52°F. Rain will persist Thursday morning before mixing with snow showers throughout the afternoon and evening. Daytime highs will reach the low 50s.

Thursday night will bring continued rain and snow showers with a low near 32°F. Accumulation will be minimal, but winds could gust up to 15 mph, reducing visibility.

On Friday, snow showers are likely before noon, followed by a mix of rain and snow throughout the day. New snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible. Temperatures are forecast to peak near 50°F before clearing skies Friday night, with lows dipping into the low 30s.

By Saturday, residents can expect a shift to calmer conditions with sunny skies and a high near 57°F. Sunday will be warmer, reaching 66°F, before slight chances of rain return early next week.
