Marquette, Mich. – Morning showers may dampen parts of Marquette on Friday, but dry, sunny weather is expected to take hold through the weekend across northern Michigan.
According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 30% chance of showers Friday morning, mainly between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Skies should begin to clear in the afternoon, with highs near 68°F. Winds will shift from the north at around 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph possible.
Saturday through Monday looks bright and mild, with highs in the low to mid-70s by the start of next week. Saturday will be sunny with light breezes, and Sunday brings more sun and highs near 63°F. Monday is forecast to reach 74°F under clear skies, a welcome change for residents after recent chilly mornings in the 40s.
Drivers should keep an eye out for slick spots early Friday, especially on local roads near Harvey and along M-28. If you’re planning outdoor events or travel this weekend, conditions should be ideal by Saturday morning.
More rain could return Tuesday, but for now, expect clear skies and rising temperatures into early next week.
