New York, NY – A winter storm is set to bring heavy snowfall to northern Connecticut and southeastern New York this weekend, potentially making travel hazardous.
According to the National Weather Service in New York, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday evening through Sunday morning, with 4 to 7 inches of snow possible.
Forecasters warn that roads, bridges, and overpasses could become slick, making travel very difficult. Residents are advised to monitor updates and consider adjusting travel plans.
The affected area includes Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties in Connecticut, as well as Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and northern Westchester counties in New York. Snow is expected to start Saturday night and continue into early Sunday before tapering off.
