Minneapolis, MN – After a chilly start to the week, the Twin Cities will experience a gradual warming trend, with temperatures climbing near 60°F by Thursday. While sunshine dominates early in the forecast, midweek could bring rainfall and cloudy skies.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, Sunday and Monday will feature mostly sunny conditions with daytime highs ranging from 35°F to 45°F. Overnight lows could dip as low as 15°F. Tuesday offers a continued warming pattern with highs reaching 50°F.

By Wednesday, a shift occurs. The NWS forecasts a 50% chance of rain and partly cloudy skies, with highs reaching 50–60°F. Thursday brings a similar outlook, maintaining rain chances and warmer daytime highs near 60°F.

Residents should prepare for slick roads and fluctuating conditions, especially during the Wednesday and Thursday commute. It’s advisable to carry an umbrella midweek and monitor updates for possible changes to rain timing or severity.

This warming trend is a notable departure from early April averages, signaling an early taste of spring. The mild conditions are expected to continue into the weekend, making it ideal for outdoor plans once rain chances taper off.
