Minneapolis, Minn. – Scattered showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms could linger across the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota through Wednesday evening, making for a soggy start to the week before skies clear and temperatures climb into the 80s by Friday.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, today and Wednesday will bring highs in the upper 60s to near 70°F, with scattered precipitation and occasional rumbles of thunder possible. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s. While storms are expected to remain isolated, brief downpours could impact early evening commutes in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and surrounding suburbs.

Dry and sunny conditions are expected to return Thursday, with highs reaching the mid-70s to near 80°F. Friday brings the warmest weather of the week, topping out near 85°F across southern Minnesota, including Mankato and Rochester. Winds will remain light, helping to keep conditions pleasant.

Drivers should use caution on wet roads through Wednesday and monitor for any updated weather statements. Residents can look forward to a warm, sunny stretch heading into the weekend. No additional weather advisories are currently in effect, but updates may be issued if storm activity increases.
