According to the NOAA National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, primary concerns include the possibility of a couple of tornadoes and damaging thunderstorm gusts. The affected areas encompass major cities like Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Morgantown. Scattered wind gusts reaching up to 70 mph are also likely.
The Ohio Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the US National Weather Service Cleveland, has highlighted the potential for severe weather impacts, including isolated hail up to the size of a quarter. Approximately 7.1 million people, 2,357 schools, and 183 hospitals are within the watch zone.
