Residents in Illinois can expect mild, dry weather continuing from Thursday through Sunday. With temperatures peaking between 75 and 80 degrees on Thursday, cooler conditions are forecast near Lake Michigan on Friday and into the weekend. Drivers along I-94 and I-290 should prepare for breezier conditions on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will be warm with highs up to 80 degrees inland, though temperatures will cool down to the mid-40s at night. By Friday, areas near the lake will see highs around 69 to 77 degrees, making it ideal for weekend outings. Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be sunny, with temperatures from 74 to 82 degrees inland and cooling down to the low 40s at night.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the pleasant weekend weather for outdoor activities. However, those traveling near the lake or on major highways should be mindful of shifting breezes, particularly on Sunday. Check local forecasts for updates on changing conditions.
