Melbourne, FL – Residents along Florida’s Space and Treasure Coasts should prepare for patchy fog Wednesday morning and a continuing rip current risk at Atlantic beaches. Warm temperatures will follow, but hazardous beach conditions require caution.
According to the National Weather Service, early morning fog may reduce visibility, particularly inland, while temperatures will rise into the upper 70s to low 80s by the afternoon. Coastal areas near State Road A1A will also experience rip currents due to persistent east-northeast swells. Swimmers are urged to stay out of the water unless lifeguards are present.
Wednesday’s forecast predicts sunny skies with light winds shifting from northwest to east as the day progresses. Overnight temperatures will dip to the upper 50s, offering cooler conditions for evening Thanksgiving preparations.
Looking ahead, Thanksgiving Day will bring sunny skies and highs near 82°F, providing ideal weather for outdoor gatherings. Winds will remain light, though beachgoers should continue to monitor rip current warnings. By Friday, there’s a slight chance of afternoon showers with highs around 79°F. The weekend will cool slightly, with highs near 74°F Saturday and 72°F Sunday under mostly sunny skies.
Drivers along inland roadways, including I-95 and U.S. 192, should exercise caution during foggy conditions, especially during the morning commute. For beach safety updates, consult local lifeguard stations or the National Weather Service.
This week’s warm and sunny weather makes for a pleasant Thanksgiving holiday, but beach and road safety should remain priorities.
