Austin, TX – Texans can look forward to pleasant weather over the weekend, with clear skies and mild temperatures dominating through Sunday. Friday will see highs around 77 degrees, and residents across south-central Texas can expect similarly comfortable conditions, providing an ideal opportunity for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Austin-San Antonio, the weekend forecast includes sunny and dry weather with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s on both Friday and Saturday. Morning temperatures will remain cool, with lows dipping into the mid-40s to 50s. Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies and light winds, making it a favorable day for travel on highways such as I-35 and U.S. Route 290.

On Sunday, temperatures will increase slightly, with highs reaching the mid-80s. However, residents should be aware of changing conditions late in the day. The NWS advises that rain and potential thunderstorms may begin overnight, marking a shift toward a wetter weather pattern as a cold front moves in from the west. By Monday, showers are likely across the Austin area, with rain chances reaching 60% and isolated thunderstorms possible through midday.

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution during peak rain times on Monday, particularly on I-35, where reduced visibility and slick roads could impact driving conditions. Rainfall could be accompanied by gusty winds up to 25 mph, making for potentially challenging conditions during the morning commute.

Looking ahead, Tuesday is expected to bring a return to mostly sunny skies, with temperatures stabilizing around the upper 70s. Texans are encouraged to enjoy the warm, dry conditions over the weekend and plan for wet weather early in the coming week.
