According to the National Weather Service, Lubbock will see a high of 52°F on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and a light south wind around 5 mph. Overnight temperatures will dip to a chilly 26°F under clear skies.
By Wednesday, conditions remain sunny with similar highs near 52°F, but winds will shift from the northwest before becoming calm. The latter half of the week brings a gradual warm-up, with Thursday’s high forecasted to hit 57°F and Friday potentially reaching 65°F, making it one of the warmest days of the week.
The calm conditions early this week make it an ideal time to complete outdoor activities or travel safely, but residents should prepare for stronger winds by Friday. Gusts may reach up to 30 mph during the day, especially on exposed roadways like I-27 or US Highway 84.
Looking further ahead, the weekend will bring continued sunshine and cooler overnight temperatures. Saturday’s high will be near 45°F before dipping to 18°F overnight.
