Dallas, Texas – Isolated showers and thunderstorms will move across North Texas this evening, bringing brief heavy rain and occasional lightning. While severe weather is not expected, lightning could cause disruptions in outdoor activities. Central Texas will experience a similar pattern tonight, with these storms expected to continue into the early hours of Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, no severe weather is expected from these storms, but residents in areas like Dallas-Fort Worth, Waco, and Palestine should be prepared for brief, heavy rain and lightning. Evening temperatures will remain mild in the upper 50s to mid-60s, with isolated thunderstorms developing overnight.

Tomorrow, Saturday, will bring mostly mild weather with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s across the region. While rain chances are low, cloud cover and isolated showers could linger, especially in areas like Killeen and Graham. This relatively calm weather will provide a break before much warmer conditions return next week.

As temperatures soar into the 90s by Wednesday, with some areas potentially hitting 100°F, it’s important to prepare for the sudden heat. Highs will reach the low 80s by Monday in Dallas/Fort Worth, with Tuesday and Wednesday expected to be even warmer. As the heat intensifies, residents are urged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor exposure during peak sunlight hours.

Warnings for tonight’s storms will remain in effect until early Saturday morning, with additional updates expected through the weekend.
