Lubbock, Texas – A stretch of milder, drier weather is expected across West Texas today, with mostly sunny skies bringing highs into the mid- to upper 70s. Temperatures will peak at 78°F in Lubbock, 75°F in Plainview, and 78°F in Aspermont by the afternoon. Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 40s.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s sunny conditions and gradual warming trend are expected to continue into the evening. While Lubbock is forecast to see a high of 78°F, other cities in the region, such as Friona, Childress, and Brownfield, will enjoy similar conditions with highs in the low 70s to mid-70s.

The mild weather will provide a brief reprieve from the recent cooler temperatures, allowing for a pleasant evening. However, be prepared for a cool night as temperatures are expected to dip into the 40s, so consider layering if you’re planning to be outdoors later.

As for tomorrow, the sunny conditions are forecast to continue, keeping daytime highs in the mid-70s to low 80s throughout the area. No major weather events are anticipated, and these pleasant conditions should persist through the weekend.
