Fort Worth, TX – A warming trend will peak Friday across North Texas, bringing temperatures into the upper 60s and low 70s. Brief rain showers are possible during the late morning to early afternoon, followed by breezy southwest winds.

According to the National Weather Service, light sprinkles could occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday. Winds are expected to increase to 15–25 mph, with gusts reaching 30 mph. Drivers on highways, including I-30, should exercise caution as gusty winds may impact visibility. Highs will hover around 68–70 degrees in Fort Worth and nearby areas.

Friday night will see a temperature drop to around 39 degrees as skies clear. Winds will shift to the northwest at 10–15 mph, setting the stage for a cooler weekend. Saturday will remain sunny but slightly cooler, with highs near 49 degrees and gusts as strong as 25 mph.

Looking ahead, Sunday is forecast to stay sunny with highs near 38 degrees, while Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday brings highs in the mid-30s and partly sunny skies. A chance of snow flurries may develop late Monday night into Tuesday morning, though accumulation is unlikely.

Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items ahead of Friday’s wind gusts and prepare for cooler conditions during the weekend. Stay updated with the latest forecasts for any sudden changes.
