Lubbock, TX – A breezy Friday is in store for Lubbock, with temperatures climbing to the mid-50s before a warm weekend sets in. Winds from the southwest will increase to 15-25 mph in the afternoon, making outdoor activities less ideal.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will start partly sunny before clearing, with a high of 56°F. Friday night will be clear with a low around 34°F. The warm-up continues through the weekend, with highs of 66°F Saturday and 77°F Sunday. By Monday, Lubbock could reach a near-record 80°F.

Residents should prepare for gusty winds Friday and take precautions when driving on open roads. Weekend conditions will be ideal for outdoor plans, but those sensitive to allergens should be aware of increased pollen levels.
