San Angelo, Texas – Isolated storms rolling through the Permian Basin this afternoon are losing strength as they head east, bringing breezy and cloudy conditions across west central Texas tonight. Residents from Abilene to San Angelo can expect overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s and gusty south winds reaching 25 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, storms moving out of the TransPecos are likely to weaken before reaching Crockett County and the western Concho Valley. Instead, most areas—including Big Country—will see an increase in clouds as moisture lifts from the Gulf. Travel impacts are expected to be minimal, but patchy gusts may affect high-profile vehicles on US-67 and I-20 during the evening.

Communities like Sweetwater, Ballinger, and Junction should prepare for sustained winds and possible minor tree debris. With warm, humid air sticking around overnight, residents are urged to secure outdoor items and check local updates for any sudden weather changes.

Cloudy skies and breezy conditions are expected to persist until Monday morning. Additional weather statements may be issued if conditions change overnight.
