Texas Weather Alert: Showers and Possible Thunderstorms Expected in Houston Thursday

Houston, TX – A rainy start to Thursday is expected in Houston, with a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Motorists should prepare for potentially slick roads and reduced visibility during the morning and evening commutes.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances will increase to 60% by Thursday afternoon, with the possibility of thunderstorms later in the day. Winds will pick up from the south at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching 20 mph. Despite the wet conditions, temperatures will rise to a high of 73°F.

By Thursday night, rain chances drop to 20%, giving way to partly cloudy skies and a low of 53°F. Friday will bring a break from the rain, with sunny skies and a high of 68°F. The weekend looks pleasant, with highs near 70°F and mostly clear skies.
