Corpus Christi, Texas – Scattered thunderstorms and sweltering heat will grip South Texas through early next week, with areas like Victoria and Beeville facing pop-up showers and triple-digit highs.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, isolated storms are expected Thursday across the Coastal Bend, with scattered activity focused on the Victoria Crossroads. Southeasterly winds will range from 10 to 20 mph. Daytime highs are forecast to reach 96°F in Alice, 98°F in Cotulla, and 99°F in Victoria.

From Friday through Tuesday, the region will see daily storm chances between 10% and 40%, with the highest risks centered over inland counties including Goliad and Refugio. Cities like Corpus Christi, Rockport, and Port Lavaca may see brief rain but will mainly battle soaring heat—peaking between 99°F and 101°F.

Hot and stormy conditions are expected to persist through at least Tuesday. Additional advisories may be issued if thunderstorm coverage expands or heat indexes climb beyond 105°F.
