Fort Worth, Texas – Storms could roll through Fort Worth late Thursday, but by Sunday, summer heat takes over with highs hitting 90°F.

According to the National Weather Service, a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop Thursday night after 10 p.m. as clouds increase across Tarrant County. Daytime hours on Thursday should remain dry, with partly sunny skies and a high near 79°F. Winds will shift out of the northeast at 5 mph before turning calm overnight.

If you’re traveling along I-35 or I-20 Friday night, plan for possible slick spots and reduced visibility as storms develop. While severe weather isn’t guaranteed, lightning and brief heavy rain may impact outdoor events or late-night travel.

Saturday looks clear and warm, with sunny skies and a high of 85°F. Winds stay light, making for a calm and comfortable start to June. By Sunday, the heat turns up — expect a high near 90°F under sunny skies, with afternoon breezes from the south around 5 mph.
