Austin, TX – Texans can look forward to a warmer first weekend of 2025 as temperatures climb above seasonal averages, bringing sunny days and mild nights. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts highs reaching 75 degrees Sunday, with patchy fog expected Friday morning.

According to the NWS, Austin will experience patchy morning fog on Friday before sunny skies emerge. Friday’s high is expected to reach 68 degrees, with light winds. Temperatures will remain mild Friday night, dipping to 48 degrees with areas of dense fog likely early Saturday morning.

Saturday ushers in higher temperatures, with highs reaching 72 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Winds will increase slightly but remain calm overall, with gusts around 10 mph. Saturday night temperatures are forecast to remain warm at 62 degrees.

Sunday offers the warmest day of the weekend, peaking at 75 degrees with clear, sunny skies. Winds could reach 15-20 mph by Sunday afternoon, adding to the spring-like feel. Cooler weather returns Sunday night, with lows plunging to 33 degrees.

Drivers should exercise caution during early morning commutes, especially along major roadways like I-35, where fog could limit visibility. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the warmer temperatures but prepare for significant cooling early next week, as highs will only reach the low 50s Monday.
