San Angelo, Texas – Thunderstorms could rattle San Angelo by late Sunday afternoon, with a 60% chance of evening downpours and lightning striking the Concho Valley.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, showers and thunderstorms are likely between 4 p.m. and 1 a.m. Monday. Rainfall could top a quarter inch, with isolated higher amounts in storm cells. Localized flooding is possible, especially along Loop 306 and low-lying rural roads. Motorists should avoid underpasses and drive with caution if roads begin to pool.

Temperatures will peak around 86°F Sunday, but humidity and calm winds will make it feel warmer. By Monday, only a slight chance of storms lingers early in the afternoon before conditions dry out, setting up a warm and mostly sunny stretch into midweek.
