Fort Worth, Texas – Severe thunderstorms will threaten much of North and Central Texas this afternoon through Wednesday morning, with large hail and damaging winds posing the most significant risks along and west of I-35.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, isolated to scattered storms will develop between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday, especially in areas like Graham, Cisco, and Killeen. The main concerns include large hail, 60+ mph winds, and a minimal tornado risk. A stronger round of storms is expected later tonight, moving eastward with a cold front from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Cities such as Fort Worth, DFW, Waco, and Canton may see gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall overnight. The storm line is forecast to push through East Texas early Wednesday morning, potentially impacting morning commutes in Killeen, Palestine, and Tyler.

Residents should secure outdoor items, charge devices, and have multiple ways to receive alerts. Travel along I-35 and connecting routes could be hazardous through early Wednesday due to wind-blown debris or localized flooding.

Storm warnings remain possible into Wednesday morning as the front clears the region. Stay tuned for updates from the NWS and local emergency officials.
