Fort Worth, TX – Residents should prepare for soaring temperatures this week as a heat wave continues to grip the region. With clear skies and highs near 89°F today, the city is set to experience warmer conditions, particularly heading into the weekend. By Saturday, temperatures could reach a sweltering 95°F, marking one of the hottest stretches in recent weeks.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s forecast shows a high of 89°F with sunny skies and calm southeast winds. Those driving along I-35W and surrounding roads should ensure vehicles are prepared for hot weather, particularly over the next few days as the heat intensifies. Temperatures are expected to climb to 91°F on Thursday and 92°F by Friday.

Looking further ahead, Saturday’s forecast calls for clear skies and highs of 95°F, with gusty winds of up to 20 mph. Residents are encouraged to limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated. Heat-sensitive groups, including children and the elderly, should take extra precautions as the heat continues.

Nighttime lows will provide little relief, with temperatures only dipping to the upper 60s and low 70s. If you’re planning outdoor events, early mornings or late evenings are best.
