Corpus Christi, Texas – South Texas is heating up fast, with triple-digit highs and elevated heat risks now expected across much of the region through early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, inland temperatures will climb to 105°F by Saturday, with highs near 107°F possible in Laredo and Cotulla by Monday. The Coastal Bend—including Corpus Christi and Rockport—will stay slightly cooler, but still reach the upper 80s to low 90s with rising humidity. Southeast winds around 20 mph may offer slight relief.

Cities like Tilden, Freer, and Alice are already hitting 100°F, and the warming trend is forecast to persist with minimal rainfall chances—just 5–20%—through Monday. Port Lavaca and Victoria may see spotty showers, but the overall pattern favors dry, sunny conditions.

Residents should avoid extended time outdoors, hydrate frequently, and check on vulnerable neighbors. Heat-related illnesses are more likely during prolonged exposure, especially for outdoor workers, children, and the elderly.

This heat wave is expected to continue with little relief through the weekend. Additional advisories may be issued if humidity increases or nighttime temps stay elevated.
