Houston, TX – A freeze watch has been issued for much of the Brazos Valley, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing late Tuesday night. Residents are urged to take immediate precautions to protect plants, pets, and exposed plumbing.

According to the National Weather Service, the freeze watch begins at midnight and will continue until Wednesday morning. Temperatures are predicted to dip as low as 30 degrees, with areas like Bryan, College Station, and Conroe at higher risk. Sensitive vegetation and unprotected water lines could suffer significant damage if not secured.

Residents should cover outdoor plants, insulate exposed pipes, and bring pets indoors to avoid cold-related injuries. Those traveling on local highways, including I-45 and Highway 6, are advised to be cautious as icy patches may develop on bridges and overpasses.
