Houston, TX – A cold front sweeping across Texas today will end the unseasonably warm weather, bringing significant temperature drops overnight. Residents can expect lows in the mid-40s to lower 50s across Houston and surrounding areas.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s high will reach 83°F, with a cloudy evening ushering in cooler air. Tuesday will see highs around 70°F and a low near 46°F as the cold front fully takes hold. Drivers along I-45 should prepare for crisp conditions during morning commutes and carry warm clothing.

Looking further into the week, Wednesday will rebound slightly with a high of 85°F, but Thanksgiving Day will be notably cooler. Expect daytime highs near 68°F and lows dipping to 46°F by Thursday night, perfect for outdoor holiday gatherings. Dry skies are anticipated, which is excellent news for travelers along major highways, including I-10 and US-59.

Friday will stay cool and sunny, with a high of 61°F, providing an ideal setup for post-holiday outdoor activities. Weekend temperatures are forecast to remain steady, though there’s a slight chance of rain Saturday night.

Residents are urged to finalize travel plans early and bundle up for nighttime festivities. Check forecasts daily for updates, especially if planning Thanksgiving road trips or outdoor events.
