Fort Worth, TX – Much of North Texas remains locked in a deep freeze today, with temperatures struggling to rise above freezing and wind chills plummeting as low as 5°F overnight.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the coldest conditions are expected in the northern and central parts of the state. Cities like Gainesville and Paris will see highs around 30°F, while Waco may reach 35°F. A cold weather advisory remains in effect through Friday morning.
By the weekend, a warming trend will begin, with highs reaching the upper 40s on Saturday and climbing into the 70s by early next week. Some areas may see light rain Saturday evening before clear skies return. Residents are urged to bundle up, check on vulnerable individuals, and take precautions against potential pipe freezing.
