Nashville, TN – A frost advisory is in effect for parts of Tennessee as temperatures are expected to fall overnight. Low-lying and rural areas, particularly those away from bodies of water, are most at risk for frost development.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), frost will begin forming after midnight, with the advisory lasting until 9 a.m. Friday. Residents should take steps to protect outdoor plants and pipes, particularly in frost-prone locations.

Frost could return early next week, with Monday and Tuesday nights forecasted to bring colder conditions. A potential freeze may occur in some sheltered regions, increasing the risk of damage to vegetation and outdoor equipment.

While no spotter activation is expected, residents are encouraged to stay informed on the latest weather forecasts as temperatures continue to fall throughout the region.
