Nashville, TN – Dry conditions on Friday will give way to a wet and foggy end to the weekend, impacting travel across Middle Tennessee. Residents are urged to prepare for potential visibility issues on roadways, including I-24 and I-40, late Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will see gradual clearing with highs near 36°F, but skies will remain clear into Saturday. Calm winds and sunny conditions on Saturday will allow temperatures to reach near 49°F, providing a respite from recent cold weather.

Sunday, however, marks a shift as clouds increase throughout the day, with rain and patchy fog expected to develop late into the evening. A 30% chance of showers will persist overnight, while fog could reduce visibility on key roadways. Low temperatures Sunday night will hover near 30°F.

Drivers traveling Sunday night into Monday morning should exercise caution, especially on stretches of I-24 and I-40, where fog could worsen conditions. The National Weather Service advises slowing down and maintaining extra distance between vehicles during foggy conditions.

The week ahead looks drier, with mostly sunny skies Monday and Tuesday. Highs will remain near 49°F Monday, warming to 54°F by Tuesday.

Prepare for this mixed forecast by securing travel plans early, especially for Sunday night. Follow local updates for real-time alerts.
