Memphis, TN – A Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory have been issued for the Mid-South, beginning Tuesday at noon and lasting until Wednesday at noon, according to the National Weather Service Memphis.

Heavy snowfall is expected across northeast Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and northwest Tennessee, with the highest accumulations north of Interstate 40, exceeding three inches in some areas. Locations near the Kentucky border will likely see the most snowfall.

South of Interstate 40, snowfall totals will be 1 to 2 inches, with light sleet and freezing rain potentially causing hazardous travel conditions. The National Weather Service warns that roads could become slick and dangerous, impacting commutes across the region.
